He has walked through freezing temperatures, wind, and now 94 year old Frank Atchison will be walking through a few 30 degree days on his journey along Highway 11, on the way to Regina from Saskatoon. He arrived in Chamberlain on Friday and began again from there this morning (Mon). Atchison’s goal is to arrive in Findlater tomorrow.
This is all part of the ‘Where’s Frank? Walk for Children’ fundraising event which began in Saskatoon April 15th. He wants to arrive in Regina on June 15th to celebrate his 95th birthday, while raising funds for the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital and the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Montreal. Atchison says he enjoys meeting with people stopping by with donations on his journey and hearing the stories from the families who have had children in the hospital.
