SaskPower says the situation in the east and southeast part of the province is steadily returning to normal as crews continue to address remaining damaged secondary service lines and complete temporary repairs to restore service. This, after an ice storm on Thursday.
Vegetation Management crews have been operating in the Melville and Yorkton areas to address compromised trees and branches that could lead to future outages.
Crews have contacted as many customers as they were able to about temporary repairs, but some customers have not been reached.
The crews require consent to complete a temporary repair, so SaskPower will keep trying to make contact.
With the significant amount of damage done to trees and branches in the area, there remains a risk of individual outages so, customers are asked to report any outages to the SaskPower Outage Centre.
