Prince Albert Police utilized a taser while dealing with a combative, knife-wielding 27-year-old man on Tuesday evening.
Shortly after 9 p.m. on May 25, officers were called to a business along Marquis Road following a complaint of a disturbance as a man threatened staff with a knife. The suspect was outside the business when police arrived. He began yelling and took on an aggressive stance, when a large knife fell to the ground during his arrest. The taser was then used to prevent the accused from grabbing the knife. Additional police officers and witnesses eventually subdued the man and got him into custody. He is charged with assault with a weapon and assaulting a police officer.
