Step One of the re-opening of Saskatchewan began Sunday.
You can have a private indoor or outdoor gathering of up to ten people. You can attend a wedding or funeral with up to 30 people at public indoor spaces and up to 150 people at public outdoor gatherings, with physical distancing still in the mix.
Restaurants can have up to six people at a table instead of four, making sure each table is at least two metres away from the other tables. The rule remains that if tables can’t be two metres apart, there must be a physical barrier.
Relaxing visitor restrictions in long-term care and personal care homes is also part of Step 1. The province says residents can have unlimited indoor visitors, but only two at a time, and up to four family members or support people can visit outdoors.
Gyms and Fitness Centres can open their doors, with safety protocols in place, and outdoor sports has been moved ahead to Phase 1. It was originally in Phase 2 of the plan.
