It will only be a tiny fraction of the 19,000 ticketholders that the Scotiabank Arena can comfortably seat. But 550 is better than 0. Especially when the 550 attendees cheering on either Toronto or Montreal will be front line healthcare workers.
“Following discussions with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, Toronto Public Health and hospital partners, I am happy to announce that they have signed off on allowing 550 fully vaccinated frontline health-care workers, including hospital and long-term care staff, to be invited to attend Game 7 of the series between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens at Scotiabank Arena tonight,” Premier Doug Ford said Monday morning.
Their ticket price? $0.
Puck drop is scheduled for 5pm CST
