Moose Jaw Police responded to the scene where a child was pulled underwater Friday.
At 5:38 p.m. Police, Fire and EMS responded to Wakamow Valley for a report of a child that had been swimming, had gone underwater and could not be located.
Despite the repeated efforts of bystanders, the child could not be found, but when emergency services arrived and started a search, they located the youth who was in medical distress.
STARS ambulance was contacted and attended to the scene. The child was transported to Regina for further medical intervention.
The identity of the youth is not being released at this time.
