Police descended on a home in the 1300 block of Egbert Avenue Sunday morning to execute a search warrant which led to the seizure of drugs and two arrests.
Officers say they found 4.1 grams of psilocybin, 25.2 grams of methamphetamine, 30.45 grams of Carfentanil, $4,100 in cash and drug paraphernalia at the home in the Sutherland neighbourhood.
Public Health agencies have described Carfentanil as approximately 100 times more toxic than Fentanyl and 10,000 times more toxic than morphine.
A 45 year old man and a 35 year old woman are facing charges which include trafficking methamphetamine and Carfentanil and possession of the proceeds of crime.
