Five men have been arrested after an alleged assault on Little Red River First Nation.

On Thursday at around 11 a.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a complaint that four men had threatened and assaulted another man at a home on Little Red River First Nation.

Police report that the four men are believed to have entered the home and at least one had a weapon.  They then allegedly assaulted and threatened the victim and then left the home in a vehicle.

Officers from the Prince Albert and Waskesiu Detachments, as well as Prince Albert Police Dog Services, Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan and the Emergency Response Team responded. Officers were able to track the vehicle to a rural property near the intersection of Fortsburg Road and Highway #355, where five men were taken into custody.

The investigation continues.
