Age eligibility for COVID-19 vaccine second doses expanded Monday and is available to those 50 years and older or anyone of any age who received their first dose on or before April 15th​​. Depending on which vaccine you had previously received you may have noticed that no appointments were available in the province’s two largest centres in early booking efforts Monday. The advice is to keep trying; more appointments have been coming online. As well, there will be a drive-thru clinic in Saskatoon this Friday and Saturday, for Pfizer. The Drive-thru clinic is open 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Eligibility​ for the COVID-19 immunization drive-thru and walk-in vaccine clinics for first doses is 12 years of age and older for the entire province, including the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District, on the date of immunization. Note that only the Pfizer vaccine has been approved for use with residents aged 12 to 17​.

Eligibility for second doses is also open to residents of the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District over the age of 18, regardless of when they received their first dose, as long as they have a minimum interval between doses of 21 days for Pfizer, or 28 days for Moderna or AstraZeneca.​​
