There is a new Canadian record hot temperature of 46.6 degrees Celsius which was set in Lytton, British Columbia Sunday. That beats out the old record of 45 degrees set July 5th, 1937 in Yellow Grass and Midale, Saskatchewan. Many areas of B.C. saw temperatures in the forties yesterday and overnight lows in the mid-twenties. In Saskatchewan the prolonged heat wave will bring afternoon high temperatures near 30 degrees Celsius early in the week and near 35 degrees mid-week. As well overnight lows will remain in the mid teens with the heat is expected to last through the end of this week.
