There has been a serious ATV collision near La Loche.

Around 8:15 p.m. Saturday, La Loche RCMP responded to a call of a boy from the area who had been seriously injured in an ATV incident near Clearwater River Dene Nation beach.

Police say the initial investigation has revealed an ATV was traveling on a roadway when one of the passengers, a boy, fell off.  He was transported to hospital in Saskatoon with what were described as serious injuries.

La Loche RCMP continue to investigate.
