SaskPower is reporting a new record during the latest Saskatchewan heat wave.

SaskPower says load demand ended up breaking a new summer record on Wednesday.  At 5:09 p.m., that day, SaskPower’s peak load demand hit 3547 megawatts (MW), which is now the new record.

With the extreme heat continuing over the next couple of days, SaskPower expects to see more high load demand numbers, and potentially another record.
