The Saskatchewan RCMP responded to two fatal motor vehicle collisions Friday night. Around 9 pm. Southey and Watrous RCMP were called to a single vehicle rollover approximately two-and-a-half kilometres west of Highway 20 on Lake Road which is the entrance road to Last Mountain Regional Park. The 18 year old woman driving was pronounced deceased at the scene. Four other people in the vehicle suffered injuries described as non-serious. The investigation continues but it appears the vehicle was travelling westbound when it lost control and rolled into the ditch north of the road. And shortly before 10 Friday night, there was a crash between a semi and a pick up truck on Highway 1 east of Qu’Appelle. The 74 year old man, and sole occupant, driving the pick up truck was declared deceased at the scene. The driver of the semi was unhurt. The eastbound semi and northbound pickup collided and both vehicles came to rest in the ditch south of the Trans-Canada Highway. No charges are anticipated.
