A firearms incident in a residence in Saskatoon’s Confederation area was quelled without injury early Thursday afternoon.
At about 1:15 p.m., Saskatoon Police were called to a home in the 3500 block of Diefenbaker Drive where a number of people were inside and at least one of those in the home was seen to have a firearm in their possession. With the help of the Tactical Support Unit, patrol officers were able to evacuate the residents from a suite in another part of the home. When they entered the area of the home where the firearm-toting person was said to be, they found no one present, but did locate a firearm.
