The previous two champions of the Canadian Elite Basketball League will take turns raising banners at home in front of the other team over the next five evenings.
Thursday night in Edmonton, the Drillers will raise their 2020 championship banner before taking on the Saskatchewan Rattlers. Edmonton is off to a hot start with wins in each of their first three games while the Snakes are 0-4. Thursday night is the first of three consecutive meetings between Saskatchewan and the Drillers with the second game Saturday at 2 o’clock at SaskTel Centre and the potential rubber match on Monday evening at 7-30. That night, the Rattlers will raise their 2019 championship banner from the inaugural C-E-B-L season…the first chance to do so since the title run in August of that year. That will, also, be the first opportunity for fans to attend a home game at SaskTel Centre since 2019. Tickets are on sale through TicketMaster. Following are the news releases from the Rattlers and the C-E-B-L…..

“We could not be more excited to welcome our fans back to our home at the SaskTel Centre”, said Rattlers Vice President Brad Kraft. “In 2019, our first season was a great success, we are hoping to build upon that success in 2021. We missed our fans in the 2020 season and we are excited to welcome them back into the Sasktel Centre on July 12th. With great professional basketball, live music and exciting in-game entertainment we are thrilled to have fans, old and new, come out and experience a Rattlers’ game day once again.”
