A 20 year old man is facing charges following an unknown 911 call that resulted in Police deploying a Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW).

Shortly after 11:00p.m, on Saturday, Police were called to a home in the 900 block of Avenue J South for a call of an unknown problem. The responding officers were met at the door by a man who they report immediately became physically combative. A Conducted Energy Weapon was deployed and he was taken into custody. The 20 year-old man was assessed by Medavie Health Services personnel at the scene before being transported to Saskatoon Police Detention. He was allegedly under the influence of an intoxicant.

The Saskatoon man is now facing a charge of Assaulting a Police Officer and the incident will be reviewed in accordance with Saskatoon Police Service policy.
