It’s going to be hot and it’s going to last for another week to ten days. That’s the general forecast from Environment Canada meteorologist Terri Lang, who says the “heat dome” is to blame. A big ridge of high pressure is again building over Western Canada, but this time it’s more over Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba than further west in British Columbia. Lang says there is no consensus on when the system will break down, but it’s expected to be over top of the southern Prairies until at least late next week.
