Wildfires continue to cause problems In the north. North of Candle lake, an emergency alert has been issued with a fire burning in areas near La Ronge. Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency is recommending against travel to any areas north of Candle Lake. Follow directions of local authorities. Close doors, windows and vents and take all necessary precautions.

At White Swan Lake, An evacuation order was issued for Whelan Bay subdivisions or campgrounds. Thursday afternoon, the fire was reported as fast moving. All evacuees were asked to register at the Candle Lake Community Hall. Police and community official were also going door to door to advise residents.

RCMP have issued an advisory about an internet, wireless, and landline services, outage in Stanley Mission, Fond du Lac, Wollaston Lake, Black Lake, and many communities north of La Ronge.

Residents in need of police services during this outage will have to visit their closest RCMP detachment.

Saskatchewan RCMP has planned for personnel to be available. If police officers are out of the office responding to a call, you are asked to stay at the detachment until they return.
