Two suspicious death investigations, one in Saskatoon and one in Regina, have now become separate homicide investigations.
On Thursday around 5:30 in the afternoon, Saskatoon Police responded to a suspicious death at a home in the 1800 block of Avenue B North. The body of a 49 year old man was found in the home. Police believe the person or persons responsible were known to the victim. Anyone with information is asked to call the police or Crime Stoppers. This is Saskatoon’s fifth homicide of the year.
Regina Police officers were dispatched early Thursday morning around 5 on Thursday to a report of an injured man. Thirty-three year old Jason Lee Bird was transported to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Police are now investigating this as a homicide, the eighth homicide of the year. There are no other details at this time. The Regina Police Service is asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
