Saskatoon Rotary Ribfest will look different this year, but it is going ahead after having to cancel last summer because of the pandemic.
Ribfest begins at 4:00 p.m. Friday and continues through Sunday in a drive-through format at SaskTel Centre in the parking lot. It’s cash-only.
President of the Saskatoon Nutana Rotary Club, Mike Gramiak says supporting Ribfest helps them support the community.
Last year was a challenge without Ribfest, which is the Nutana Rotary Club’s largest fundraiser, but Gramiak says they were able to get some funding through different organizations.
This year, the club has committed to a legacy project with St. Frances Cree bilingual school for a total of $100,000 over the next five years.
It will support Indigenous performing arts education at the new school on Grosvenor Avenue, expected to open in 2023.
Hours of Operation:
Friday: 4pm to 8pm
