Grand Rapids, Manitoba RCMP got a call last Sunday about a modified grenade found on the riverbank behind the school in Grand Rapids. Officers attended and called in the Explosive Disposal Unit (EDU).

It was determined that the device was a modified pineapple grenade with the pin removed. It was hollow and not at risk of exploding. It was safely disposed of.

Police have no idea where it could have come from.
