Most Canadians and Americans think the Olympic games are still relevant; 61 per cent of Canadians and 62 per cent of Americans. But, not that many are all that interested in watching. According to a Leger poll, only 52 per cent of people in this country are regularly or even occasionally following the games. The number is even less in the United States where only 41 per cent can say that.
Then there is the whole controversy over what female athletes are expected to wear while competing. When asked about that, 82 per cent of Canadians and 77 per cent of Americans think female athletes should have the right to choose the uniform they want to wear to compete.
The rest think uniforms should be imposed on them by sports federations.
