Regina Police have arrested and charged a 27 year-old man from the Fort Qu’Appelle district in connection with Regina’s most recent homicide: The murder of 33 year-old Jason Bird.
The death investigation began just after 5:00 a.m. on July 15, 2021, when officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Princess Street. Patrol officers provided first aid to an injured man until EMS arrived. The victim was then taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. As a result of the homicide investigation, a suspect was identified and, on August 4, he was found and arrested.
Terrance Desnomie is charged with First Degree Murder, Possession of Stolen Property, Breach of Release Order, and Possession of a Weapon for a Purpose Dangerous to Public Peace. He is to be in court Friday.
