Early Thursday morning, just before 3:30, emergency crews responded to a Prince Albert business in the 3600 block of 2nd Avenue West for a report of an assault.
The Prince Albert Police Service says a 40 year old woman was taken to Victoria Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries and then later transported to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon.
Two days later, the woman declared dead.
Police are treating her death as suspicious and an autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday.
The investigation continues.
