The Governments of Saskatchewan and Canada have announced more than $2.1-million in joint funding for five rural infrastructure projects.
The money will go toward replacing culverts and bridges that have come to the end of their service life.
The federal government is investing just over $871,000 for these projects, conditional on all Indigenous consultation requirements being met.
Government Relations Minister Don McMorris says the provincial contribution of over $1.2-million to replace the bridges and culverts will make an important difference to local residents, creating jobs and building stronger communities.
Both governments believe investments in local infrastructure will help stimulate the economy, while addressing the needs of the communities.
