Sunday’s Active COVID case numbers rose by 143 in Saskatchewan, to 1,043. Saskatoon had the largest number of new cases at 37. By comparison, Regina’s case count rose by only 7.
Recoveries rose by 58. The numbers of hospitalized cases fell by three to 74 .Ten are in ICU. There have been no new deaths.
There were 1,839 new tests on Sunday which was an increase of 10 over Saturday. There were 2,283 new doses of vaccine administered which means one million, 446 thousand total doses have been administered with just over 676 thousand people being fully vaccinated.

- The new cases are located in the Far North West (5), Far North Central (4), Far North East (2), North West (13), North Central (15), North East (10), Saskatoon (37), Central West (2), Central East (6), Regina (7), South West (8), South Central (10) and South East (8) zones, and sixteen (16) new cases are pending residence information
- Two (2) cases with pending residence information were assigned to the Central West (from August 13(1)) and South West (from August 8(1)) zones

- 172 cases have pending residence information
- 1,043 cases are considered active and 49,676 cases are considered recovered
- Just over two-fifths (42.7%) of new cases are in the 20 to 39 years age category
- As of August 15th, a total of 74 individuals are hospitalized, including 64 inpatient hospitalizations and 10 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 74 patients, 57 (77%) are not fully vaccinated.
- No (0) new death reported today. 586 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died, with a case fatality rate of 1.1%
- 986,264 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of August 13, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 831,020 tests performed per million. The national rate was 1,034,749 tests performed per million.
