The province’s Tuesday COVID-19 update includes 107 new, confirmed cases of the virus, a rise of 22 from Monday’s report. Eighty-two aren’t vaccinated. That’s 77 per cent of the new cases. Ten are partially vaccinated and 15 are fully vaccinated.
Twenty-five of the new cases are in the Saskatoon zone. The North Central zone has the second highest number with 17. The number of people in the hospital has risen by 8 to 79 including 11 in the ICU, but there are no new death’s in today’s (Tues) report.
For anyone who is travelling internationally, the province is permitting additional doses of vaccinations if they are required. That’s because some countries are requiring proof of vaccination with specific vaccines. The two most common are Pfizer and Moderna, so residents who received a combination of AstraZeneca, Prizer or Moderna can receive a third dose to match their last vaccine brand as long as it was Pfizer or Moderna. Those who received two doses of AstraZeneca will be able to get doses of Pfizer or Moderna.
The province urges individuals to check on the approved vaccines for the country, venue or destination you intend to visit. Proof of intent to travel will not be required to get the shots.
