Saskatchewan is sending its largest contingent ever to the Paralympic summer games. The group consists of seven athletes, four coaches, three support staff, four officials and two classifiers. The eight athletes are the third most in history for the province matching the 2008 Beijing games. Regina’s Nik Goncin leads the athletes as the only one with experience returning to the Paralympics. The wheelchair basketball player is captaining Canada who finished 11th in 2016 at the Rio games.
