When asked about the idea of a vaccine passport, most Canadians are on board with passports. A Leger poll shows it’s a particularly attractive idea in Quebec where 63 per cent strongly support passports. Quebec plans to introduce a passport on September first. Everywhere else in the country, strong support ranges from 52 to 57 per cent; except on the prairies. From Alberta to Manitoba, only 47 per cent strongly support vaccine passports.
Among those who do not plan to get vaccinated, 71 per cent do not believe the vaccines are safe; Twenty per cent believe the vaccines are only a ruse from the government to exert control. Ten per cent don’t believe in vaccines.
