Saskatoon police allege that a suspect became combative and assaulted an officer during an incident just before nine o’clock last night. Officers had been sent to a business on the 12 hundred block of Cumberland Avenue after a report of a male assaulting another male. The suspect was found in an alley and, police say, became combative when approached by the officer and told he was under arrest. The officer used his stun gun and took the suspect into custody. Neither of them required medical attention. Charges of Common Assault, Assaulting a Police Officer, and Breach of Probation are pending.
