A serious two-vehicle collision near the intersection of Highways 5 and 41, just east of Saskatoon, had the Saskatoon Police Service asking motorists to avoid the area. As of 6 p.m. that was still the case.

At about 1:46 p.m., police received a call about a collision between a semi-trailer and a car. The two westbound lanes of Highway 5 are closed while the eastbound lanes are restricted as well. Emergency crews are on the scene and the collision analyst unit is investigating.
