Saskatoon again has the most new cases of COVID-19 in the province with 97 and the seven day average of daily cases is 346 which is the highest seen in the province since the beginning of the pandemic.
There were 393 new cases of COVID-19 reported on the Government of Saskatchewan dashboard on Labour Day Monday. The number of active cases is now at 3,252 and one more person has died after testing positive for COVID-19. The provincial death toll from the virus is now 612.
In terms of new cases the second highest in the province continues to be the North Central zone with 64, meanwhile, Saskatchewan’s second most populous community which is Regina, registered 11 new cases.
There are now 145 people in hospital and 27 of those infections are being treated in an ICU. The province says 103 of those individuals were not vaccinated.
In terms of vaccinations, 1,006 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered and 623 of those were second doses.

- The new cases are located in the Far North West (25), Far North East (23), North West (65), North Central (64), North East (31), Saskatoon (97), Central West (4), Central East (10), Regina (11), South West (15), South Central (13) and South East (10) zones and 25 new cases have pending residence information.
- Seventeen (17) cases with pending location were assigned to Far North East (from September 4(1)), North West (from September 4(9)), North Central (from September 3(1), September 4(3)), Central East (from September 2(1)), Regina (from September 3(1)) and South Central (from September 4(1)) zones.
- One (1) SK resident tested out-of-province was added to the Regina (from August 25(1)) zone.

- 3,252 cases are considered active and 52,669 cases are considered recovered.
- About one-third (34.6%) of new cases are in the 20 to 39 years of age category.
- About one in eight (12.2%) new cases was fully vaccinated.
- As of September 6th, a total of 145 individuals are hospitalized; including 118 inpatient hospitalizations and 27 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 145 patients, 103 (71.0%) were not fully vaccinated.
- One (1) new death reported today. 612 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died with a case fatality rate of 1.1%.
- 1,043,717 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of September 2, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 873,225 tests performed per million. The national rate of 1,073,052 tests performed per million.
- The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 346 (28.7 new cases per 100,000).
