EHealth Saskatchewan says the decision by many groups to show proof of vaccination before entering has meant many are now trying to establish their MySaskHealthRecord account so they can get that information. It is resulting in long waits that are frustrating many including the government agency.
Spokesperson Davin Church says previously the wait time was under five minutes but with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, USask, the University of Regina and others now saying you need to show that proof of vaccination, the wait time was around 90 minutes. People have been brought in to help, which Church says has helped with the wait times, which are now under an hour, and there are extended hours to call for the PIN number you will need.
The phone line will be open on weekends between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p..m. Church recommends when you have that document to put it on your phone so you can show it when you have to. He adds those who need that proof right now and don’t have it can show the card received when they were vaccinated, but it may not be accepted depending on where you are.
More than 70,000 people have downloaded their records last week with many others wanting to set up their MySaskHealthRecord leading to the delays. (CKRM)
