The Government of Saskatchewan COVID-19 dashboard indicates another 305 new cases of the virus reported on Tuesday. One more person who tested positive for COVID-19 has died bringing the death toll since the beginning of the pandemic to 613. There are 3,184 active cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan and the number of people hospitalized has increased significantly to 154 with 29 of those infections being treated in an ICU. 110 of those people in hospital were not fully vaccinated.
The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 350 (29.1 new cases per 100,000)
Saskatoon continues to have the most number of new cases although the virus is starting to take hold again in the north. The new cases are located in the Far North West (9), Far North Central (2), Far North East (37), North West (35), North Central (39), North East (18), Saskatoon (84), Central West (5), Central East (10), Regina (16), South West (5), South Central (3) and South East (9) zones and 33 new cases have pending residence information.
