Saskatoon Police say over six kilograms of methamphetamine were seized in the culmination of a two month long investigation by the Drug Unit.
Search warrants were executed at a home in the 300 block of Birch Crescents and two apartments on 5th Avenue North on September 2nd. As a result of the search warrants, over 6 kilos of meth, 339.8 grams of powdered cocaine, a quantity of magic mushrooms, 0.3 grams of fentanyl and over $67,000 in cash were all seized.
A 42 year old man was arrested in the 300 block of Confederation Drive while a 27 year old woman was arrested in the 3300 block of Millar Avenue. Both are facing trafficking and possession charges as well as Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5,000, while the male accused is also facing weapons charges.
In addition to that investigation, three other investigations that were underway netted more drugs, money, guns and cash including (89.6 grams) cocaine, (7.79 grams)fentanyl, (4.1 grams) crack cocaine, a prohibited .22 caliber Smith & Wesson SemiAutomatic Rifle, a Winchester 12 gauge pump action shotgun, two Airsoft handguns, and $7,400 cash
