Wadena RCMP say an accident late Thursday afternoon on Highway 5 was a fatal one. Emergency crews responded to the accident about two kilometres east of Wadena around 4 in the afternoon. The initial investigation suggests a westbound semi and an eastbound truck collided. The 65 year old woman from the Wadena area who was driving the truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The 61 year old man driving the semi, who is from the United States, reported minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
