Two people are facing charges after one-and-a-half kilograms of methamphetamine were seized in a late Thursday afternoon search warrant executed by the Saskatoon Police Service.
A joint investigation by the Drug and Guns and the Guns and Gangs Units noticed activity consistent with drug trafficking. That led to the arrest of a 42-year-old man outside a residence in the 200 block of Avenue X North, followed by a search warrant at around 5 o’clock on September 9th. Police found the methamphetamine plus cash, fake I-Ds, cell phones, a firearm and a collapsible baton. A 24-year-old woman was arrested and found to be in possession of methamphetamine, cash and a can of bear spray. The man faces 11 total charges while the woman faces four charges. In all, police seized 1.47 kilograms of methamphetamine, $9,550 in cash, 52.6 grams of crack cocaine, 15.7 grams of M-D-M-A and a prohibited firearm.
