With the excitement of a new school year beginning for university students, S-G-I’s September Traffic Spotlight is on young adults making safe choices when behind the wheel. Any new driver that gets caught driving with any amount of drugs and alcohol in their system will result in a minimum 60 day license suspension, an immediate vehicle impoundment and significant amount of fees, fines and Safe Driver recognition penalties. In 2020, 32 per cent of all drivers involved in impaired driving collisions in Saskatchewan were between the age of 18 and 25.
