NDP Leader Ryan Meili says the Premier’s measures announced today (Thurs) were long overdue after ignoring his own government’s modelling and advice, and the voices of teachers, health care workers, the pandemic chiefs and medical health officers from across the province. He notes the Official Opposition called for more COVID-19 measures including masks and vaccine mandates weeks ago. Meili says the Premier must apologize, show remorse and take real action, and if not, it’s time for him to resign.
