It’s my Parting Shot as The Fearless Predictor continues his rebound to respectability going into Week 7 of the C-F-L season…..
Week 6 didn’t start well with Toronto beating Hamilton, but the rest of my choices were bang-on, so it’s a second straight 3-out-of-4 week! Could a perfect 4-for-4 be on tap this weekend?!
We’ll look for a better start as Calgary travels to Hamilton to start a Friday Night doubleheader. The Stampeders looked good with Bo Levi Mitchell back at the controls of their offence while the Tiger-Cats will go with a hurting Jeremiah Masoli in place of Dane Evans, who really can’t go at quarterback for the Tabbies. I like the Stamps by at least a field goal!
The second game on Friday has the Riders at home to Toronto. Saskatchewan’s fate hinges on whether Cody Fajardo can play and whether the offensive line can protect him enough to be effective. If neither of those things happen, then the Argos are victorious, by less than a touchdown!
The first Saturday game has B-C in Montreal. The Alouettes felt good going into a bye week after throttling Ottawa, but lost head coach Khari Jones’ presence on the sidelines because of a positive COVID-19 test. The Lions, also, wallopped the RedBlacks in their last outing. I think B-C is under-rated and under-estimated and will slip past the Als by less than a field goal!
Finally, Winnipeg visits Edmonton on Saturday night. The Blue Bombers are the best team in the league after sweeping the Riders. They’ll complete a sweep of victories by the road teams in Week 7 by at least a touchdown over the Elks!
Overall, the record is 10-13. By taking only away squads this week, it’s a case of Big Risk, Big Reward for The Fearless Predictor! Wish me luck!!
That’s my Parting Shot, I’m Les Lazaruk…..
