A reported Thursday evening firearms incident in Regina has the Police Service in the provincial capital reaching out to the public for help with their investigation.
At about 8 p.m. on September 16, Police were called to the 3800 block of Dewdney Avenue because of a report of gunshots. Officers found three youths walking in the area, then spotted another group of six people running down the alley. The three youths reported hearing gunshots as the suspect group of six ran. The three youths went to a nearby residence for assistance, but no one was hurt. Police are hopeful of someone having seen the group of six in the area around the time of the gunshots as they have few details to describe them. Anyone with information as to the group of six suspects or further information as to the firearms incident is asked to contact the Regina Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
