Premier Scott Moe considers the 2021 federal election the most pointless election in Canada’s history. He says it cost $600-million of taxpayers’ money and it was five weeks of further dividing the country, arriving at almost the same result as when we started. Moe believes the election did more harm than good, creating divisions across Canada.
The Prime Minister said during his election campaign that he felt the Saskatchewan government had done a poor job of handling the pandemic. Moe responded on Tuesday, saying Justin Trudeau should be taking some of the blame for the lower vaccination rates in Saskatchewan. He explains that far north and Indigenous communities are running at a vaccination rate lower than 50 per cent, and some as low as 23 per cent. Moe points out that this is an area of federal jurisdiction. However, Premier Moe says the Sask Party government will work with the Liberal government where they can.
