The daily number of new cases of COVID-19 and the positive test rate were, both, the lowest in Saskatchewan since September 11, according to Tuesday’s look at the dashboard on the provincial government website.
However, there were five new novel coronavirus-related deaths to bring Saskatchewan’s total number of fatalities to 646. The latest update showed 372 new cases from 3,741 COVID-19 tests. Coupled with 336 recoveries and the province’s active case count is at 4,700.
However, hospitalizations went up by nine from Monday to another pandemic-high of 262, including 54 viruses being treated in an I-C-U. Just 840 doses of vaccine were administered Monday with half of those shots making the recipient fully vaccinated.
