The City of Prince Albert was into “dis” with a pair of civic service announcements Wednesday.

Prince Albert residents are being advised that weekly garbage collection will be “discontinued” next month with the return to the bi-weekly schedule in October. Residents are asked to check their garbage collection calendar for their respective pickup dates. As for yard waste, the City of Prince Albert says collections will continue on the same day as blue recycle bin collection until the end of October, weather permitting.

In addition, the City of Prince Albert is offering a 25 per cent “discount” on all monthly bus passes for October and November. The move is a thank you from the City to transit users for their patience and putting up with recent unplanned and unscheduled bus breakdowns that led to route disruptions.

Passes can be purchases at vendor locations throughout the City. Locations are:
• City Hall – 1084 Central Avenue
• Crescent Heights Pharmacy – 2805 6th Avenue East
• Gray’s Chemists – 681 15th Street West
• PBCN Petro Canada – 3451 2nd Avenue West
• Riverbank Development Corporation – 1350 15th Avenue West
• Saskpolytechnic – Student Lounge at Technical Building
• Medical Pharmacy – 1335 Central Avenue
