A 14-year-old male youth is dead following a single-vehicle roll over on the Trans-Canada Highway west of Moose Jaw on Saturday evening. Just before 9 p.m. on September 25, Moose Jaw R-C-M-P received a report of a single vehicle roll over in which a westbound vehicle was found in the south ditch. The 14-year-old male youth was a passenger and was declared deceased at the scene while the adult male driver was transported to hospital in Moose Jaw with non life-threatening injuries. Highway 1 was closed and traffic re-routed while officers investigated and the scene was cleared. The investigation into the collision continues with Moose Jaw R-C-M-P and a Saskatchewan R-C-M-P Collision Reconstructionist.
