The Saskatoon Public School Board has two site configuration plans that are being further developed for the City Centre Project. The project will see the amalgamation of Princess Alexandra, Pleasant Hill and King George schools.
Earlier this year, it was decided that the new school will be built on the grounds of the current Princess Alexandra site on Avenue H. In a report discussed during the school boards’ September meeting, states that the Ministry of Education has given their approval of the school site, as long as the maintenance facility is demolished on the property at the cost of the school board and the site plan incorporates that part of the land into the new buildings footprint.
The school board administration has come up with potential plans for future consideration of where a new maintenance facility may go. It’s expected the site configuration plans will become public next month.
