The opposition NDP is describing the vaccine passport system, about to be implemented on Friday, as chaotic and says the province needs to fix it.
Opposition critic for Seniors, Matt Love says the system is frustrating even for the most computer savvy. He suggests it shouldn’t be hard to set up a toll-free line to type in your health card number to receive a free paper copy of your COVID-19 vaccination record in the mail.
Love says, “Seniors and others struggling shouldn’t be penalized because this government failed to come up with a real plan.”
He says places like Regina Public Library have stepped in to help people access and print their record. Love noted that libraries should not have to use already stretched resources to now help residents access health records for a second or third time.
