There are a few improved statistics in the daily COVID-19 report with lower case numbers and higher vaccinations
394 new COVID positive cases were reported on Wednesday—- down 55 from the single day record set on Tuesday. Just over one-quarter of the new cases are in people between the ages of 20 and 39. Only 16 percent of new cases were fully vaccinated.
The hospital count is 295 patients, which is down by 16. However, there are two more people in the intensive care unit at 67.
Three deaths were reported on Wednesday, bringing the overall provincial total to 685.
3,548 people were vaccinated yesterday. Of those, 1,997 were first doses and 1,551 were second shots. There are now just over 732-thousand fully vaccinated residents in Saskatchewan.

- As of September 29th, there are 394 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 66,737 reported cases.
- The new cases are located in the Far North West (22), Far North East (29), North West (48), North Central (36), North East (23), Saskatoon (59), Central West (7), Central East (27), Regina (47), South West (25), South Central (24) and South East (31) zones and 16 new cases have pending residence information.
- 22 cases with pending residence information were reassigned to Far North West (from August 20 (1)), Far North East (from August 22 (1), August 24 (1), September 17 (1)), North West (from August 30 (1), September 12 (1), September (15) (1), September 27 (1)), North Central (from September 20 (1), September 27 (6)), North East (from September 27 (1)), Saskatoon (from September 14 (1), September 27 (2)), and Central East (from September 25 (2), September 27 (1)) zones.
- 66,737 cases are confirmed
- 16,140 cases are from the North area (6,908 North West, 6,768 North Central, 2,464 North East)

- 4,585 cases are considered active and 61,467 cases are considered recovered.
- Above one in four (26.6%) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39.
- One in six (16.4%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 years and older) were fully vaccinated.
- As of September 29th, a total of 295 individuals are hospitalized; including 228 inpatient hospitalizations, and 67 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 295 patients eligible for vaccination, 221 (75.0%) were not fully vaccinated.
- There are no ICU beds located in the following six (6) regions: Far North West, Far North Central, Far North East, North East, Central West and South East.
- Three (3) new deaths reported today. 685 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died with a case fatality rate of 1.0%
- 1,129,719 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of September 27th, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 951,193 tests performed per million.
- The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 467 (38.8 new cases per 100,000).
