There are now 321 people in hospital with COVID-19 and 69 of those individuals are being treated in an intensive care unit. Sunday’s dashboard from the Government of Saskatchewan shows 354 new cases of the virus.
Those with the most new cases include Saskatoon at 84, Regina at 73 and the North West at 54.
Three more people died who tested positive with COVID-19 bringing the provincial death toll since the beginning of the pandemic to 711.
The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 450.
On Saturday, the Government reported 8 more deaths and 480 new cases of the virus. On October 3, 2020, one year ago, there were 14 new cases and one person in hospital.

- As of October 3, there are 354 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 68,644 reported cases.
- The new cases are located in the Far North West (5), Far North Central (3), Far North East (10), North West (54), North Central (18), North East (11), Saskatoon (84), Central West (7), Central East (19), Regina (73), South West (21), South Central (16) and South East (15) zones and 18 new cases have pending residence information.
- Twenty (20) cases with pending residence information were reassigned to Far North West (from September 27 (1)), North West (from October 1 (1)), North Central (from October 1 (16)), Regina (from September 30 (1)), and South Central (from September 30 (1)) zones.

- 16,601 cases are from the North area (7,147 North West, 6,932 North Central, 2,522 North East)
- 16,546 cases are from the Saskatoon area
- 13,873 cases are from the Regina area

- 8,238 cases are from the South area (1,823 South West, 2,609 South Central, 3,806 South East)
- 4,524 cases are from the Central area (1,261 Central West, 3,263 Central East)
- 563 cases have pending residence information
- 4,718 cases are considered active and 63,215 cases are considered recovered.
- Over than one-third (35.9%) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39.
- Less than one in four (22.4%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 years and older) were fully vaccinated.
- As of October 3, 2021, a total of 321 individuals are hospitalized; including 252 inpatient hospitalizations, and 69 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 321 patients eligible for vaccination, 239 (74.5%) were not fully vaccinated.

- 1,144,097 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of September 30th, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 961,276 tests performed per million population. The national rate was 1,143,428 tests performed per million population.
- The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers is 450 (37.3 new cases per 100,000).
