A 39-year-old man is facing charges of dangerous driving, evade police, possession of a dangerous weapon and carrying a concealed weapon following his arrest by the Saskatoon Police Service on Saturday morning.
Around 9:30 a.m. on October 2, officers spotted a Honda Accord go through a traffic signal at the intersection of 33rd Street and Avenue G North. A traffic stop was attempted, but the vehicle fled and was seen traveling at high rates of speed and ignoring traffic signals.
The vehicle was abandoned in the area of the 400 block of Coad Crescent. From there, a canine track found the suspect in an apartment in the 800 block of Hampton Circle where he was arrested, plus he was found to allegedly have a knife in his possession.
